You may, at one point or another, find yourself needing to edit a PDF file, especially when you don't have the source file from which the PDF document was created. We have compiled a list of some of the best freeware to help you edit your PDF files.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a software that allows you to print, view, and annotate PDF documents. You can open PDF files and modify their content, including manipulating diagrams, spreadsheets, videos, emails, and more. Guest users have access to several tools, allowing them to take notes, highlight text, add signatures, and more.

LibreOffice

LibreOffice is a complete office suite with the following features: vector graphics, word processing, spreadsheets, mathematical formulas, and more. Once your file is saved in the correct format, you can open it with any LibreOffice application. You will have access to drawing tools, text, printing, and many more. This software suite is based on the OpenOfficerg suite.

Foxit Reader

As with Adobe Acrobat Reader, you have several tools at your disposal, including underlining, highlighting, comment insertion, and note-taking. Foxit Reader also allows you to add media — like videos, photos, and links — to your PDF documents.
